Children in Worship

Faith Children's Church, Ages 4 years old - 5th Grade

11:00 - 11:30 a.m. Room 117

Jamie Buesefoff is a blogging mom and in her blog entitled “I Am Totally That Mom,” she writes concerning children in worship,  “… what you are doing is so important.  When you are here, the church is filled with a joyful noise. When you are here, the Body of Christ is more fully present. When you are here, we are reminded that this worship thing we do isn't about bible study or personal, quiet contemplation but coming together to worship as a community where all are welcome, where we share in the Word and Sacrament together.”

With these concepts in mind, children from Kindergarten through fifth grade will be worshiping with the entire congregation at the 10:30 service.  Adults are encouraged to help their children participate whenever possible.

During our worship service the children ages  K-5th grade are asked to come forward for a Word with the Pastor as he reads the gospel lesson.  Children are invited to go with leaders during the Passing of the Peace to go to room #117 for a program designed just for them.  On the first Sunday of the month when we observe the sacrament of Communion, the children will be brought back to the sanctuary.  On other Sundays we invite the parents to pick up their children from room #117 after worship.
