The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a fun-filled, overnight experience you will never forget. Relay mobilizes communities throughout the country to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones and raise money to support the mission of the American Cancer Society. Team participants seek contributions prior to Relay. Then at the event, they gather with tents and sleeping bags to camp out and take turns walking or running around the track. Relay brings together friends, family, businesses, hospitals, schools, places of worship...people from all walks of life! Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during this overnight event...because cancer never sleeps.
Bay Area Relay For Life - Baytown has been the #1 Relay in Texas for the past seven years and the 2010 Relay was the #1 Relay in our 8 state region, as well as #15 in the nation! Faith Presbyterian Church (The Presbees) is one of the top teams in fundraising and overall participation...even having the "Hoopla Award" renamed in our honor now called the "Presbee" Hoopla Award". We raise approximately $10,000 per year in support of the American Cancer Society.
